Banana River Boat Tours provides a variety of river boat trips, including fishing tours and nature routes:

Cocktail Cruises

Leave your worries on the dock, climb aboard our cocktail cruises, and party “island style” with us. If you prefer, you may bring your own cooler stocked with your favorite “adult beverages”. This includes beer and wine only (no glass permitted) 21 and up. Our crew will take you on a two-hour tour of the Banana River. This allows you to see what “island life” is really about. Enjoy music as you cruise, drink, sightseeing, and ultimately relax in one of the most beautiful estuaries in North America.

Rocket Launches

Join us for an upcoming rocket launch.  Feel the excitement of those around you. See and hear the engines fire up. Feel the rumbling grow until the water and boat begin to tremble. Watch as lift-off occurs. Follow the bright orange in the sky. You’ll be so close that on clear days, you can see the explosive charge as the boosters fall away. If you’re lucky enough to join our crew when they are landing the boosters back on land, you’ll see the boosters thrust fire as it nears the landing platform. Once it’s down, the sonic boom is ground, or in our case, water shaking.

Sunset Boat Cruise

Begin your evening with one of our relaxing, enjoyable two-hour Sunset boat trips on the Banana River. Once aboard The Nana, sit back, relax and soak in the spectacular views of barrier islands and uninhabited spoil islands while watching the sun dip closer to the horizon. Our knowledgeable crew will point out local points of interest along the way. You’ll also be treated to sights and sounds of some of the 4,000 plus animals and plants that call the Indian River Lagoon home. While cruising the waters, dolphins, manatees along with majestic birds will welcome you along the tour. As dusk falls, you and your crew will be treated to breathtaking colors of golden yellows, oranges, and reds with hints of purple. When clouds roll in, the beauty is intensified as the unusual cloud shapes are washed in the colorful hues of the Florida sunset.

Fishing Tours

Fishing in one of the most bio-diverse estuaries in the Northern Hemisphere is an exciting way to spend two hours while visiting the Cocoa Beach area. Enjoy an exciting fishing boat trip onboard The Opa.  Designed to be a fishing vessel, it’s been outfitted with rods, reels, and proper tackle to catch many different kinds of saltwater fish found in the Indian River Lagoon.

On our fishing boat trips our crew will guide you to the best spots in the river. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned pro, you’re sure to catch fish or have a great time trying. For our beginners, we’ll show you how to cast, bait your hook and even remove your fish from the hook, but not before you get some fish selfies. We’ll make sure that you are able to experiment with your skills or figure out a new technique while casting the line, and the experienced professionals will be there to help every step of the way. No fishing license? Don’t you worry. Our license has you and your entire crew covered on our fishing tours.

EcoTours

Join our crew aboard The Nana for our two-hour EcoTour boat trips. With our EcoTours, you will be discovering wildlife in one of the most biologically diverse ecosystems in the Northern Hemisphere. The Indian River Lagoon is home to over 4,000 different plant and animal species. In the water, you may see Lagoon Bottle-Nosed Dolphins frolicking in pods or chasing bait fish. Cruise by a West Indies Manatee as she lounges in her habitat. Bat-Rays breaching the surface, alligators cruising by, Moon Jellyfish propelling themselves along. There is even the world’s oldest living dinosaur, the Horseshoe Crab. You’ll see them cruising the bottom are all sights you may see on your tour.

The view of watching an Osprey dive into the ocean for fish or watching the Bald Eagles nesting alongside the trail will be a sight that you will remember for a long time to come! The shorelines are another area to keep an eye out for as the sight of the bobcats, panthers, wild boars, and other local land wildlife will be quite an amazing experience. This is the tour you NEED to bring your camera with you to document.

Bioluminescence

What makes bioluminescence tours so much fun for all ages is that anything and everything that comes in contact with the water allows you to become the conductor of your own magical light show. Every stroke of the paddle, every move made by the living creatures below the surface, every splash made by your hand, becomes a mesmerizing illumination that looks like shooting stars across the night sky and the famous northern lights but in the water. And if you are fortunate enough, you may come across a dolphin or manatee providing an eerily ghostly presence, yet not scary at all. If you’re planning to take a nice excursion to Port Canaveral and Cocoa Beach, please don’t hesitate to climb aboard and experience the liquid light show that is like no other on earth. Experience one of nature’s unforgettable natural displays.

Holiday Light Tour

This entertaining new boat tour will allow you to experience a Florida winter wonderland “Island Style”. Sit back, relax, and enjoy Holiday music as your pontoon boat travels the same route as the annual Merritt Island Boat Parade
